The Thunder Bomb is a throwing item in Mother 3 that deals lighting-elemental damage to all enemies. The Thunder Bomb is made by Wess, and is considered essential to those who practice the Thief Arts.

It can be found in a present box hidden behind the left side of Wess's house in all chapters of the game except for Chapter 8. The present box will 'respawn' when entering the Cross Road, allowing the player to procure as many Thunder Bombs as desired.
