Telepathy is a PSI power in Mother and EarthBound. Learned by Ninten and Ana, it allows them to read the minds of certain people or animals. Ness and Paula are able to use this skill; however, while Ness displays an ability to speak to and understand animals, Paula shows a much greater ability, using it to contact Ness and Jeff when she is in trouble. Telepathy in EarthBound is passive and cannot be controlled by the player. It is also used to enter the world of Magicant in Mother with the use of the GGF's Diary and a pink shell.
