A Devil Car in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Devil Cars, which are purple instead of red, are enemies in Smash Run, and are one of two enemies in the mode from the EarthBound series, the other being Starmen. Devil Cars attack by charging at the player's fighter and spinning in circles. Devil Cars also attack by jumping at the fighter and tackling them if the fighter is in the air, and this inflicts high knockback. Devil Cars can also spew exhaust fumes, which has low knockback but paralyzes the player. Devil Cars are one of the more powerful enemies, and are usually encountered later during a Smash Run, usually by themselves or with another powerful enemy.

There is also a trophy of a Devil Car, like with the other enemies in Smash Run. Its trophy is obtained as a random drop in any of the game's single-player modes.

General information[]

Physical appearance[]

Psycho Cars are cars with front lights for eyes. The car's design is inspired by the 1951 Buick Roadmaster, by looking at the mouth, and even the grill resembles the 1951 Buick itself. In Mother, Psycho Cars have a red body, but in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, they are pink.

  • NTSC: A fearsome enemy from the Mother series, this car attacks mercilessly, closing in on fighters before trying to hit them as it spins doughnuts. No, these aren't the kind you eat—they're the kind that hurt. Its exhaust fumes can cause paralysis too, so keep your distance until it's between attacks.
  • PAL: In this game, this fearsome car from the Mother series does doughnuts. That's not "does doughnuts" in the sense of "bakes delicious sugary circles of dough", but rather "spins mercilessly into fighters to clobber them". Its exhaust fumes cause paralysis too, so keep your distance until it stops, then move in and attack it!
