Mr. Genetor is a boss in Mother 3. It guards the generator of the Thunder Tower, and is encountered while Lucas and friends are fleeing from Fassad and two other Pigmasks. When they pass the tower's generator, Mr. Genetor appears and attacks them, having deduced the party to be a threat to the generator.
The name of this boss is a shortening of the word "generator", and may also be a pun on the word "generator" and "janitor".
Appearance
When this boss is encountered, it is seen inside of its "work station" (the generator itself). In battle, the generator unit is not to be seen, and is replaced by a yellow/black background. Also, its in-battle sprite's colors are noticeably different from those of its overworld sprite. This may be because of the yellow background's reflection off his metal surface.
Battle
During the battle, Mr. Genetor can use electrical attacks like Volt Chops. While it is powered, all physical weapon-based attacks (which excludes PK attacks) against him result in recoil damage. After using its Discharge Zap attack, the machine loses power, changes its sprite, and stops attacking for several turns while it recharges its batteries, giving the party several turns to attack it without taking electrical damage in turn.
