Moles Playing Rough are enemies in EarthBound. They have the appearance of a very small mole. These malicious rodents are first encountered second Your Sanctuary location, Lilliput Steps in Happy Happy Village. They later appear in the Dusty Dunes Desert, the beach of Summers and oddly enough, Deep Darkness. They can "scratch with its claws" dealing low damage. A stronger attack, "claw with one's sharp nails" can deliver moderate to very high damage. They can "size up the situation", which makes them feel strange, and Mr. Batties share this attack, with whom Moles Playing Rough can be grouped up with, along with Mighty Bears. They can waste a turn by "being absentminded". Stronger, larger and similar foes are the infamous Mondo Mole and the Guardian Digger.
