The Memory Chip is an item added to the version of EarthBound Beginnings in Mother 1 + 2. It is obtained upon the destruction of Eve, and can be used to teleport to her wreckage at the top of Holy Loly Mountain. It is similar to the Onyx Hook, and can be used an infinite amount of times. The Memory Chip is believed to be a replacement for the IC-Chip, which is an unused item in all versions of the game.
