Most Happy Happyists are former residents of [[Twoson]], the nearest town and only access point to Peaceful Rest Valley, where their village headquarters are located. Aspiring members appear to have scheduled meetings with Happy Happyist counselors in order to determine their allegiance to the "religion". High-ranked Happy Happyists are directly involved with the operations of the cult's founder, Carpainter, while the lower ranked members are responsible for painting everything, from buildings to animals (including a cow), the color blue, and spreading the word of Happy Happyism.

Most members of the Happy Happy Religion come from Eagleland, however it seems likely more members came from [[Twoson]] due to its access to [[Peaceful Rest Valley]], which is the only known entrance to the Happy Hapy Village. It seems that aspiring members are set up on appointments with Happy Happyist counselors as an example, a couple from Twoson left their son at home to see a counselor in the village. The higher ranking members of the Happy Happy Religion work closer to [[Carpainter]], while the lower ranked members go around painting everything blue and spreading the word of Happy Happyism.

The common Happy Happyist (or Insane Cultist) dresses in an all-blue garb consisting of a long blue robe, a blue hood (with eye holes), white gloves, black shoes, and a black tie. It appears that all members working directly under Carpainter are made to wear blue, whilst average villagers appear to be wearing casual clothing.

Happy Happy Village is a small reclusive town located within in Peaceful Rest Valley, which it shares with its neighboring Town of Twoson. The most notable feature of Happy Happy Village is that everything is painted blue, from buildings to even a cow. The village itself contains a few stores; a local drugstore, a self-service store that relies on the honor system, a small clinic, and the Meager Livin' Farmhouse that is used as a hotel. The central point of Happy Happy Village is the Happy Happyist Cult Headquarters, which is a tall all-blue mansion where all of the Happy Happyists gather, and it is where Carpainter houses the [[Evil Mani Mani]] statue.

Insane Cultist

Happy Happyists who work directly for Carpainter dress entirely in blue garbs that loosely mirror the attire of the real-life Ku Klux Klan, a cultlike American white nationalist group. In battle, they are seen carrying containers of blue paint, as well as brushes. Average residents of Happy Happy Village do not dress accordingly, but are equally intent on painting everything blue.

In the original Japanese Mother 2, the Insane Cultists have the letters "HH" on their caps. In an interview with Wired Localizer, Marcus Lindblom stated that he altered their appearance to make them look less like Ku Klux Klan members. He removed the letters since he believed that due to low resolution fonts the HH could look like a KK. He also added fluffy little balls at the end of the caps to make them look as far from the Klan as possible.[1]
