The Red Snake is an enemy encountered in EarthBound Beginnings. Red Snakes are found near Youngtown and around Spookane. They are relatives of the Snake and Rattlesnake enemies.

Unlike their counterparts, Red Snakes are prone to fleeing. Defeating one before it flees grants a lot of EXP for that point in the game; it does not give as much in the Japanese version. It has a chance of dropping a Magic Coin.
