Nancy (Jane in Mother) is an enemy in EarthBound Beginnings. She has high defense, the ability to use PSI, and decent speed. She is encountered in the railroad tracks, Yucca Desert, Youngtown, the Swamp area, and Ellay.
In the original Famicom version, there was a reflection on Nancy's, Kelly's and Juana's chest. This was removed in later releases, and she was also renamed in honor of the staff department's administrator Nancy.
In EarthBound, of Paula's seven default names, two are likely based on this enemy. Her second default name is Nancy and her seventh default name is Jane.
