Unfounded Revenge or Misplaced Revenge is another in-boss battle theme unique to Chapter 5's boss in Mother 3. This theme is heard in the boss battle against the Pork Trooper, fought by Lucas and his party members in the Highway. This concerto composition consists of the leading formidable trumpets, and the assortment of brass instruments that flows in the background.
The song is aptly named; in the major instances wherein it plays, the antagonist's reprisal against Lucas is unwarranted. The Pork Trooper assails Lucas for attempting to impersonate the Masked Man, despite Lucas never intending to do so.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl[]
A song in New Pork City (stage) is named "Unfounded Revenge/Smashing Song of Praise", and the first half of it consists of a remix of Unfounded Revenge.

Hustle for Pride[]
Hustle for Pride is the harder variant. It plays during the fights against a Pigmask Captain and Fassad (both forms). This theme is similar to Unfounded Revenge, but it speeds up and slows down at some parts. It also loops to the beginning.
Similarly to the Pork Trooper, New Fassad sought 'revenge' for his fall from the top of Thunder Tower, despite the fall being the result of his own carelessness.
Trivia[]
- Unfounded and Misplaced may mean the same thing. Misplaced Revenge is somewhat the direct Japanese translation in the original Japanese-made, Mother 3. However, in the fan translation, the name of this theme is changed to Unfounded Revenge, which matches the translation used in Super Smash Brothers Brawl.
- Both theme's main melodies are very similar to a section of Shostakovich's 6th Symphony.
- In Kirby Mass Attack, Stage 2 of Volcano Valley has the theme Vehicle Blast that has a similar opening to this theme.
