Chimera

Chimeras are hybrids designed by Dr. Andonuts during his time forced to work as head scientist for the Pigmask Army in Mother 3. As Chimeras have been corrupted by the sinister army, most act as threats to Lucas and his friends throughout the game, although some such as Dryguy, the Bucket Brothers and Mr. Pump can be beneficial to the party.

It is heavily implied that Porky Minch himself gave the order for the creation of Chimeras, as seen in the Pig Mark Notebook that a Pigmask drops. Strangely, the first example of what can be considered a Chimera actually appears in EarthBound, when Brick Road is fused with a dungeon he created.

The Chimeras created vary greatly; some are simply a mixture of two animals (like the Cattlesnake), animals with small parts of its anatomy replaced by robot parts (like the Reconstructed Caribou), mostly robotic creatures (like the Almost Mecha-Lion), and mixes of the DNA of several animals with mechanical parts, (like the Ultimate Chimera). On a shelf in the Chimera Laboratory, some animal food called Chimera-Chow can be found, with the slogan "Chimeras Go Straight For It!"
