The Runaway Five preforming at Chaos Theater.
The Chaos Theater is a large theater in EarthBound. Found in Twoson,the Runaway Five perform nightly, though this is due to them being held under a massive debt by the theater owner, Poochyfud. However, after Ness and Paula give Poochyfud the Wad of Bills, the Runaway Five leave immediately, allowing to take Ness and Paula to Threed on their way to the Topolla Theater in Fourside.
Following Ness, Paula, and Jeff's return to Twoson, a sign outside of the Chaos Theater is readable, stating the Theater would be closed for a period of time. This is readable for the rest of the game, meaning the Theater has probably closed indefinitely.
Trivia[]
- In the Scott Pilgrim series of comics and its movie adaption, there is a location called the Chaos Theatre owned by one Gideon Graves. In reality it is a club, not a theatre. In the movie, the comparison is taken even further; Scott's old band, tight for cash, is seen playing there as part of a contract with Gideon. One of the members outright states that they are there to "sell out and make money and stuff". This is, if anything, is a clear reference to the Runaway Five from EarthBound.
- In Mother 2, the man in the Theater that says "there's no good-looking waitresses [...]" says that "there are no hostesses here" in Japan, referencing hostess clubs, a popular kind of night club in Japan.
