Automatic Teller Machines (abbreviated as "ATM") are devices in Mother and EarthBound. With the ATM card in their goods inventory, ATMs allow Ninten and Ness to withdraw or deposit money. The function of Automatic Teller Machines was replaced by Save Frogs (from Chapter 4 onwards) for the Mother series's third installment, Mother 3.

EarthBoundEdit

In EarthBound, Automatic Teller Machines can be found in Drugstores (as well as in most other shops) and Hotels. Ness can withdraw Money from any ordinary ATM without any withdrawal fees. If he withdraws money from an alternative source, there is usually a withdrawal fee that is the same amount of money as his withdraw. A unique type of ATM appears in Magicant that appears to have a pair of eyes.

Mother 3Edit

An Automatic Teller Machine makes a cameo appearance in Mother 3. It is on display in the Empire Porky Building's Hall of Memories. However, it cannot be used, and is only seen by Lucas and co. as their boat drifts by its pedestal. Another one appears broken in the piles of junk in the Junk Yard on the highway, flipped sideways.
